Santa Fe Need and Deed, a local Homeless Service Agency is looking for one or two individuals to represent, manage and promote local homeless artists at Trader Walt’s Flea Market on Saturdays and Sundays. (Trader Walt’s Flea is located across the railroad tracks from the Santa Fe Farmer’s Market).

At this time our organization has space for three to four local homeless artists who can sell their work at the Flea on weekends (at no cost to them). The artists keep all proceeds from the sell of their art. These artists will be referred through Shelters and through SF Need and Deed meetings and outreach.

This volunteer position would entail establishing schedules for artists, reviewing artists work, helping individuals fill out contracts, helping set-up and tear-down tables, as well as promoting this booth to the public, media, our website, FaceBook and Twitter.  They would also need to be available by phone a few hours a week for follow-up with artists.

This volunteer should be a mature, reliable, respectful, responsible  Individual.  It would be a bonus if this individual had experience with homeless individuals or be working on a counseling or social work degree or be a counselor or social worker currently.  The volunteer may also sell their own artwork at this booth with a 10% donation to SF Need and Deed.
