Lauren Needs Your Help

Urgent Need for Emergency Housing and Medical Assistance

Our Alert is for Lauren, a 58 year old woman who is currently living in her vehicle. She has been in this situation for several months. Lauren is dealing with the onset of painful rheumatoid arthritis as well as debilitating depression and grief over the loss of a child.

She worked as a school teacher in Santa Fe for 8 years. She most recently worked as a caretaker for an estate in Santa Fe until that job ended. Lauren is new to homelessness and has just started working with LifeLink on housing possibilities. Lauren has also signed up with a representative to assist her in applying for SSDI disability which likely is months off.

We are asking for any monetary help for paying to see a rheumatologist (medical specialist) and for short-term emergency housing.

All contributions are tax-deductible. We are a 501 (c) 3 non profit organization registered in New Mexico.

Alerts such as this one are unique to Santa Fe Need and Deed operations. After Santa Fe Need and Deed screens all applicants for sobriety and ensures that applicants are pursuing goals (such as seeking work, going back to school, getting their GED or applying for Disability) we are then able to bring their story to you.

Blessings to you and thank you for your support of Santa Fe Need and Deed.
