Santa Fe Need and Deed is always seeking caring people committed to ending homelessness in our wonderfully unique city.

If you would like to make a difference in your community but are uncertain of exactly how to do that or where to begin, then consider becoming a volunteer at Santa Fe Need and Deed. We “fill in the gaps” where other organizations in Santa Fe are unable to do so — often due to overload. There is certainly enough need for everyone who wants to help.

There are a number of ways to do this, we invite you to choose that which best suits you:

  • one time monetary donations
  • monthly monetary support
  • donations of specific items to meet the specific needs of those in the center of our Circle of Compassion
  • even a donation of your time as a professional attorney, CPA, Doctor or Dentist, to help us operate and to serve our clients.

All of these and more are greatly appreciated.

Want to become more directly involved? Consider serving as a mentor for one of the homeless people we serve.

We never ask (or expect) our members to do more than they want or are able to do. So we want to be very clear that being a Mentor requires more of your time and energy than just coming to meetings. It involves some formal training, and maintaining contact with both the client and the client’s case manager. However the rewards to both the Mentor and our Client-Friend are immeasurable. To learn more, please attend the Santa Fe Need and Deed meeting on Mondays at 2:00 PM (click here for details) and let us know that you want to be a Mentor — or become involved any other way.

If you would like to contribute to the successful operation of Santa Fe Need and Deed, please review our Volunteer page. Santa Fe Need and Deed encourages and accepts the donation of pro-bono services such as legal counsel, bookkeeping, photography, and writing. Obviously, we always need financial help. Donations may be made via PayPal by clicking the link on the sidebar, or you can mail your check to our P.O. Box listed here.
